Returns, Exchanges & Warranty

The Short Version

Our policy is pretty simple.

If it's our fault, we'll make it right.

If we made a mistake, built the wrong item, misspelled something that matches your order incorrectly, or there is a craftsmanship defect, Fully Involved Leatherworks will stand behind it and cover the costs associated with correcting the issue.

If it's your fault, we'll still work with you.

If the wrong option was selected, measurements were entered incorrectly, the shipping address was wrong, or you simply changed your mind, we'll do our best to help. However, the customer is responsible for the costs associated with those changes.

We're firefighters too. We understand mistakes happen. We'll always try to find a fair solution.


Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Our leather products are built to be used, abused, and put to work.

Every leather product manufactured by Fully Involved Leatherworks is backed by our Limited Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty.

This warranty covers defects in workmanship that result in the product being unable to perform its intended function.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic scratches

  • Burn damage

  • Cuts, tears, or punctures

  • Water damage or submersion

  • Running it over with a truck

  • Modifications performed by anyone other than Fully Involved Leatherworks

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper care

Brass hardware is made from solid brass, which is naturally softer than steel. Scratches, wear marks, and cosmetic aging are part of the normal life of brass equipment and are not covered under warranty.

Even if something isn't covered, contact us first. In many cases we can repair or refurbish equipment at little or no cost.


Returns

Because many of our products are custom-made, not all items are eligible for return.

Eligible Returns

In-stock and non-customized products may be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery if:

  • The item is unused

  • The item is in like-new condition

  • The item includes all original components

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained before returning any item.

Items returned without an approved RMA may be refused and returned to sender.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error.

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee not to exceed $10 per item.


Exchanges

Need a different size, color, or configuration?

We can help.

In-stock and non-customized products may be exchanged within 14 calendar days of delivery.

To qualify:

  • Product must be in like-new condition

  • Product must not be customized

  • Product must have an approved RMA

Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with exchanges unless the exchange is required due to our error.

Approved exchanges may be subject to a restocking fee not to exceed $10 per item.


Custom Orders

Custom products are built specifically for you.

Because of this, custom orders are generally not eligible for return or exchange.

Please verify:

  • Names

  • Unit numbers

  • Spelling

  • Colors

  • Sizes

  • Hardware selections

before placing your order.

If You Made a Mistake

If the information submitted on the order was incorrect, we will gladly remake the product, but the replacement will be at the customer's expense.

If We Made a Mistake

If the finished product does not match the order submitted, we will remake or repair the affected item at no cost to the customer.

That's our mistake, not yours.


Before Sending Anything Back

Please contact our customer service team before returning any product.

We'll help determine the best solution and issue an RMA if necessary.

Orders returned without prior authorization may be refused and returned to sender.
