Our leather is thick enough to withstand the demands of the fireground while remaining flexible and comfortable during extended wear.
Each strap is:

For best results, apply a small amount of thread-locking compound (Loctite) to mounting screws to ensure they remain secure over time.
All materials and hardware meet the same specifications used for NFPA approval, though we do not participate in the costly certification licensing programs.

Post-Fire Decontamination
All Fully Involved Leatherworks products are sealed to help prevent the absorption of contaminants and particulates.
If your equipment enters the IDLH, we recommend the following cleaning procedure:

Rinse with copious amounts of water to remove large particulates

Use a soft bristle brush if needed

For deeper cleaning use a mild detergent such as:
• Dawn
• Joy
• Car wash soap

Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry out of direct sunlight
Do not place leather equipment in an extractor or dryer.
These recommendations are based on UL research regarding firefighter PPE contamination and decontamination procedures.
